Station number on postmarks

Gary - 3/9/2009 at 15:19

In the late 1800's, Russia used postmarks on some of the rail lines that had the station number located next to the day in the date. The attached PDF is from a Statistical Survey published in 1874 that tells us the number of stations on many of the lines.

Enjoy!:)
