1835 Omsk cover

The illustration shows a folded letter, dated 1835, sent by the Omsk territorial administration to the Tambov provincial administration. No postage was charged. The letter is on printed stationery of the Omsk territorial administration's executive office, matching the wording on the wax seal. This is the only recorded example of the earliest Omsk postmark type (17mm). Dobin used this cover for his illustration. An ekspeditsia opened in Omsk in 1790 and was upgraded to a kontora in 1802.
