Sounds like this is definitely a topic for further discussion. Can we open a new thread since we have drifted off the original request?

A new thread will be opened when someone feels the need to do so, would be my guess. You can always order the thread to be closed. It's YOUR thread. And YOUR bulletin board.

In the meantime, two other Saratov Birzha covers were recorded; in Yamshchik 8 (1981, p.68) a 1909 registered letter is shown by Jack Moyes. The postmark reads SARATOV/2/g, while the registration label reads SARATOV BIRZHA/P.T.K. Interesting, as it implies the Bourse office was actually town office no.2 in that year?

The second was back in BJRP 55 (1978, p.16). A 1902 registered cover in the collection of Howard Weinert (!) with a Saratov Birzha label AND postmark - the latter presumably the same as on this card.

I asked that this thread be closed. It is my thread and I want it closed.
