How small can the postmark be?

The postcard shown here went from Narva to Krasnoufimsk and was returned to Narva. Both sides are shown. Enjoy!

How small?

The question is about how small can the Russian postmarks be? The one shown here for Krasnoufimsk is approximately 22 mm in dimension. Are there smaller ones out there somewhere?

22mm is indeed small. There were some 20mm circular postmarks in the pre-stamp period.

22 mm appears to be the smallest size for postmarks post-1860. They are not uncommon.

Just to keep this topic open, I submit the following:

OK, so it is not uncommon, but uncommon, almost a double negative, means widely used IMHO. Rare? No! Hard to find? No. Abundant when compared to larger marks? No. When used with marks from the same office but for different functions (cancel, departure, arrival, transit), such combinations are more difficult to find.

The vast majority of postmarks during the Empire era are larger than 22 mm.
Just thoughts:)

Should we now turn this topic to the largest Empire era postmark?:o
