Canadian mark

OK, so it is not Russian! Since it is on a Russian item, maybe I could squeeze it in here?;)

In the upper-right part of the card is what appears as a "mute" mark, but I believe it is a Canadian mark. Can anyone tell me what it is for sure?

Thanks

I see that the card was addressed from Moscow (14.10.06) to Quebec, Canada and received in Montreal.. The right upper corner looks to me rather suspisious. Is there a stamp on the reverse? If not, I can then suppose that there was a stamp removed from this corner as well as the strike of cancellation (chemically) and this 'mute' applied instead. I doubt very much that it is a Canadian mark.

Canada used duplex postmarks of this type -- the killer part consisting of bars in a circle, some with numbers, letters, or even town names within the bars.

This is definitely a Montreal duplex postmark.
