Mongolia cancel?
Here is a Mongolia cancel currently on Cherrystone auction

As far as I can see, they misread the date on the cancel. And who would use these stamps in Mongolia in November 1917? May be I miss something?

I think stamplover wanted a comment on the vertically laid paper issue and the "late" date of use.
I know now that it is not that unusual, but had the same question when I first encountered it.

There still remained considerable stocks of vertically laid 3.50, 7 and 10 r at some remote post offices and some regions by the end of 1917 and even
later. For instance,I have a pair of such 7 r used in Siberia in 1921(!).

Yes, I own a 7 r used Kharbin-Pristan in 1918.
