ASTP Variety

I have a question. A friend of mine sent me a scan of an Russian ASTP sheet which I will show to you. Has any variety been reported showing 4 stars in the bottom right corner of the stamp which shows the spacecraft docked instead of 3 stars on the other stamps? This only shows on the stamp #10 of the sheet of 12. All the other stamps in the sheet has 3 stars.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't have any full sheets of the Russian Apollo-Soyuz stamps. However, it was a joint issue with the U.S. and I have several sheets from the U.S. I checked them and didn't find the 4-star variety you are asking about. The stamps are the same except the printed language is, of course, English rather than Russian.

Maybe Greg Mirsky will be able to help.

I have two sheets of these stamps but neither shows the variety you have mentioned.

What type of perforations exist on the four selvages?

On one of my sheets, the perforations continue on the upper and lower selvage but do not occur on either side selvage.

On the other sheet, the perforations only continue on the upper selvage.
