Gary Combs

I read with great sadness about Gary Combs, death. I have never seen him because we have met "on line" when I posted with request for help in addition to other philatelic material for my book "The History of mail in Lodz 1824-1918. Album postal signs used in post offices Lodz until 1918." Gary wrote to me, as one of the few and was helping me giving advices, we were discussing, interchanging ideas about literature. Wonderful, helpful, kind person and friend philatelist. When my book appeared, we wondered what to do to obtain funds for its printing. We recently had a less frequent contact, I wanted to give him the good news when I'll get the funds and at the same time that bad news came.
In this way, I want to say how wonderful man Gary was and publicly thank him.
He will be sorely missed, and his discussion with him. Goodbye, Gary.
Thanks I put here where Gary was very active, where there is still a lot of his posts.
