New Rossica Related U.S. Customized Stamps!
I have received a philatelic notification from the Russian emigre "Planning Committee to Commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the House of Romanov".
It is a non-profit group of Russian-Americans interested in the history of Russia's monarchy. They have issued customized stamps that highlight the
amicable relations between the United States and Imperial Russia in the 18th and 19th centuries. (A regrettably fuzzy scan of the stamps depicted in
the printed circular is attached here.) Similar customized stamps were issued a couple of years ago by our own Rossica. The stamps are valid for U. S.
postage, and will certainly become a part of my collection. If anyone else is interested - they can be purchased at the Committee's cost of printing
-- $1 per stamp. Ther are 20 stamps per sheet. Postage is included. The address is: Anniversary 400, PO Box 491, Stratford, CT 06615
