A soviet example


Here is one of the examples it took me a while to find: straight-line St Smorodino as both a cancel and as a cachet for registration. The number "N24" is so faint I didn't see it at first.

St Smorodino was in Kharkov' Gubernia and Uezd during imperial times.
It handled only ordinary mail, so would not have had a canceller.
In this case, it is handling registered mail.
