Cronin flaw on Scott 183

Gedflow describes in his monograph on stamps of the RSFSR the 250R stamp, Scott 183, with the Cronin flaw.
Can anyone show a scan of that flaw? thanks

This is an example of the 'Cronin' flaw

250R.jpg - 27kB

There is a small break in the page outline on the right of the top page on the 6th line of 'text' above the instrument crossing the page. This is the 22nd stamp on a sheet of 25. A larger images follows:

250R-1.jpg - 18kB

You will notice that there is also a break in the 4th page in the same area - this shows up less frequently I believe but I have not done extensive analysis on this.

Cronin flaw revived

RSFSR, thank you. After 359 posts I had given up hope of ever receiving a reply. I had noted a description of the flaw years ago but had misplaced it. thanks again....

Cronin flaw

This "flaw" is certainly very difficult to define. Does it really exist? Except for the clearly printed stamps on chalk paper the printing of the tablet text on other papers is so variable and irregular that defects in multiple text lines are the rule. Many prints have so many text line defects they are the rule not exception.

Does it only truly exist only on chalk paper or the defects on the 6th and 4th lines just random line brakes? I lean toward the latter.

Having re-examined the 250R stamp for the Cornin flaw I have found 3 examples but only horizontal mesh paper. What are others observations on the paper showing this flaw?
