Vostok-3 & 4
After the flights of Yuri Gagarin and Gherman Titov, Russia analyzed the data from those two flights. The next flights was a dual flight of Vostok 3
and 4. On August 11, 1962 cosmonaut Andrian Nikolayev became the third Russian cosmonaut to orbit the earth. He was launched on Vostok-3 and orbited
earth 64 times in 94 hours 22 minutes. On August 12, 1962 cosmonaut Pavel Popovich became the fourth cosmonaut to orbit the earth. He was launched on
Vostok-4 and orbited earth 48 times in 70 hours 57 minutes. This was the first time two manned spacecraft were in orbit at the same time.
