A ratty postcard

This one interested me, not because my dog took a piece out of it, but because I couldn't make it out initially. It is sent from a RPO, I think Bodzekhov P. O., 18/4/1898. The station, whatever its name, is located on the Ivangorod-Dombrovskoi RR (TPO-87-88). This runs from Lyublin Gubernia west to the border, near Granitsa. This is logical, in that the card was sent to Dortmund. The byline says "Petroviec", which I assume Petrovichi, Kobrin Uezd, Grodno, Gub. I have been unable to locate Bodzekhov in the Spisok or in the K&R RR post volume, but the internet tells me that an army of Charles XII marched through Bedzekov in 1704, near Ostroviec, presumably Ostrovets, Radom. If that information is correct, it is curious that the card
was not cancelled until after it had travelled from Grodno Gub a considerable distance to the west. Further thoughts are welcome -- in particular, have I mistaken the name of the RPO?

The Bodzekhov RR station PO opened between 1881 and 1883 in Radom Province, Poland. It is listed in the 2006 addendum to the Robinson RR postmark book.

Good, thank you. Interesting that it is not in the 1916 Spisok or Anatoly K's PO list. How does one interpret the distance between the origin and the cancellation? YOu would think that it would have been cancelled when sorted and put in a bag to be sent to Bodzekhov.

The sender may have written the message at one location and posted the card at another. I have seen this happen several times.
