Unknown Cancel Of Military Censorship WWI (3)
At the fair in EssenI bought a viewing card. The stamps are canceled on 9.8.1916 at TJARLEWO S.P.B. Tjarlewo is a settlement in the south of
Petrograd. The card also bears the censor cancel Военный
цензоръ P... Maybe someone can help to identify the censors name?

The censor's name looks to be Raal' (Рааль . The place
of censorship is most probably TSARSKOE SELO as the censorship office nearest to TYARLEVO.

Thanks for your opinion and help. That is possible. Speeckaert notes in the second supplement only one cancelation in Tsarskoe Selo.

In the german forum I got the answer that the censorship was probably made Pavlovsk which is even closer to Tyarlevo. The name of the censor should be
Раагъ (Raag). The address and industry book "Ves' Peterburg" of 1912 records an Iv. Jak. Raag under the address of the
post and telegraph contest Pawlowsk, ul. Gospitalnaja 29. The last two letters can also be interpreted as "g"and "hard sign" on this background.
