Azerbaijan

Forgeries are either on the left or on top.

Pay attention to the details of the letters and the pattern of how the colours are filled in.

Yes, Some guy named Jeff asked me a question about it.:D

Actually, I've talked to several members and non-members about these. In fact, a lot of the forgeries that I've posted have drawn mostly non-members to e-mail me questions. Apparently, most of our membership either know all and don't share or are afraid to ask or maybe they "just don't care."

What really suprises me is that no one has challanged any of the forgery postings.

Actually these specific forgeries well published. First they were published in Linn's by late Varo Tyler in his section "Focus on Forgeries" and after that - in his book with the same title.

This is the kind of additional information that will continue to set this web-site apart from others.
Individuals can't do it alone. None of us have the time. We all have pieces to the puzzle and unless everybody puts their piece in, no one will ever see the "big picture."

I now have examples of five series of forgeries and plan to issue a Forgery Guide in due course with the detailed differencess - an extension of the forgery sections of the 'big Ceresa' of 1993.

Why not post that information here as well for all of us to see and use?

Once the Guide is written I could do this, Garry, BUT

1. It would be duplication – I shall be lucky to do this once for the Guides, to complete the series in my remaining useful lifetime, let alone spend time and effort re-scanning and downloading with appropriate text to the Samovar.

2. For me its quicker to publish the Guides than to put everything on the WWW.

3. At least the Guides give me some recompense for time, ink, paper etc on a break even basis.

4.Samovar entries will no doubt be cleared every so often but the Forgery Guides will be going on as reprints long after I have hopped the twig.

Armenio,

I went to your website but was unable to find the fakes. It might be because I was unable to read Spanish but there was nothing to give me an idea where to go to find the fakes. Could you be more specific with your directions?

There are many sites that offer basic translations of languages.

For example, here is the Google translate a site URL:

http://translate.google.com/?langpair=ru%7Cen#

Some sites have this built in, such as this Spanish site in this thread. See the attached picture.
