Can not trust him at all...

Here is another example on how bad sellers try to lie to a novice or may be experienced collectors.

I recently come accross on one of the Ebay items from well know seller with a bad reputation (regummed stamps, reperforated stamps, digital images printed on inkjet printer, etc.).

Now he is trying something else....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=297718172...

Seller claims that this stamps is a very rare imperforated version and "Not a cut off from the S/S (see scan). "

Here is 1st image provided:

Another image provided from this seller - looks like he is right and stamp can not be trimmed from SS, but wait...

What he is not saying that those SS were printed in 2 steps: stamps first and text 2nd.

And text was shifted (closer or fare from the stamps)

Here is an image of 2 sheets where the distance between stamps and text is small (left SS) and big (right SS - the similar one our stamp in question was trimmed from).

And also, as probably not so many collectors know, there are SS without text at all

And the last point:
If the stamp in question was originally imperforated corner copy (margins are big enough to considered it) why the owner cut the top margin additionally?

God, I hope he didn't cut up a sheet with the missing text. I would have probably have given my right arm to have one.
