ROPiT cancel

I have a #15 Russian Office in Turkish Empire stamp with the ROPiT cancel. Does this give the stamp extra value as a collectors item? Thanks JW

I would say that it is more interesting than regular used stamp with unreadable cancel. If you post image of the stamp here - we can check what cancel you have, etc. If you happen to have Tchilinghirian & Stephen "Stamps of Russian Empire Used Abroad", part 1. - it can be also a good source to check this cancel. It has some rating information too.

Greg,

Is this your example or Jim's? Nice postmark!

Jim sent me this image of the stamp. I am a "publisher" in this case. Cancel is from Tchilinghirian & Stephen, vol 1.
