Propaganda/Forgery
I went to WSRP.net the other day and saw that this type of stamp was offered on e-bay. These are mine however.
The forgery/propaganda stamp is on the left. You'll notice the text on it is different than the authentic stamp on the right.
The image of Ermak' on the forgery/propaganda stamp is a less detailed.
I will not metion the difference in colours as a determining factor however. The reason for this is that both Kardakoff and Rybchenko list a
yellow-green printing that I haven't seen as of yet.

Michael, I jumped at this item in the September Raritan auction, but did not get it. Not sure yet whether that was a bad thing.
Do you or anyone reading this have any background on it or know of any literature about it? It was certainly the first time I had seen such.

I'm still looking for an example of this forgery, its quite scarce. It went for more than I will pay for a forgery even when I need a copy. I'll just
have to be content with the saved scan when I get round to the appropriate Forgery Guide.
