The address is indeed Post Office / Kardilovskaya in the Orenburg guberniya -- Post and Office being abbreviated.

Odessa was the main port for commerce and mail to the Black Sea and the Levant. The French (and Greeks) were in Odessa in 1917, which may explain the French markings. All in all a very interesting cover needing further research.

What calendar was Greece on at that time? 24/11/1917 could be a bit less than a month after the October revolution, if the Greece still used the old calendar as in Russia, or 17 d thereafter.

Greece was one of the last to adopt the Julian calendar in 1923. As in Russia, the Orthodox Church did not.
