Soyuzpechat 1918 - 1980

According to a number of other web-sites Soyuzpechat is said to have been the Central Philatelic Agency under the Ministry of Communications of the USSR. I would welcome any comment on the accuracy of that information. Thank you.

No, they were different subjects. Soyuzpechat dealt primarily with selling newspapers, journals etc through its network of booths, news-stalls and shops. They sold also stamps as sets in small packets but it was only a side activity.
Central Philatelic Agency opened at the end of 1950-s or beginning of 1960--s (I do not remember the exact time) sold stamps and other philatelic products, such as albums etc inside the USSR. This was done earlier (in 1920-s to mid-1930-s) by its predcessor, Soviet Philatelic Assosiation and in the meantime (mid-1930-s to about the end of 1950-s), by Kogiz, a book-trading organization.
